Question 1

What is LMS-POS and what types of stores does it support?

Accepted Answer

LMS-POS is a point-of-sale system designed specifically for liquor stores, grocery stores, convenience stores, smoke shops, vape shops, and other retail businesses across the United States. It includes built-in tools for inventory management, lottery tracking, age verification, credit card processing, and mobile inventory updates.

Question 2

Does LMS-POS work for liquor stores with lottery ticket sales?

Accepted Answer

Yes. LMS-POS includes automated daily lottery reconciliation built specifically for liquor and convenience retailers, so you don't have to manually match lottery sales, payouts, and settlements at the end of each shift.

Question 3

What is dual pricing in a POS system?

Accepted Answer

Dual pricing, also called cash discounting, lets you display two prices: a cash price and a slightly higher card price, so the cost of credit card processing fees is offset at checkout instead of absorbed as a business expense. LMS-POS has this built in.

Question 4

Is technical support included with LMS-POS?

Accepted Answer

Yes. LMS-POS includes 24/7 live technical support, so if something goes wrong at your register you can reach a real person instead of a support ticket queue.

Question 5

Does LMS-POS include free software upgrades?

Accepted Answer

LMS-POS is regularly updated with new features and improvements. For the most current details on software updates and what's included with your plan, contact the LMS-POS team.

Question 6

Does LMS-POS work for convenience stores and smoke shops?

Accepted Answer

Yes. For convenience stores, LMS-POS offers high-volume scanning, lottery ticket tracking, and fast checkout. For smoke and vape shops, it handles product variant tracking, carton and pack level inventory, and age-restricted compliance enforcement at the register.

Question 7

Where does LMS-POS provide service?

Accepted Answer

LMS-POS is based in Arlington, Massachusetts and provides POS hardware, software, and support to independent retailers across the United States.

Question 8

Can I manage inventory from my phone with LMS-POS?

Accepted Answer

Yes. LMS-POS includes a free mobile app for iOS and Android that lets you check stock levels, update inventory, and monitor your store in real time from anywhere, not just from the register.
